As expected Stephen Curry of the Golden State Warriors is one of the five best players so far in the 2015-16 season.
Based on the number of games played, minutes per game, points per game, and percentage of field goals, free throws and three points, Curry has spearheaded the Warriors’ record opening 16-game unbeaten streak.
Scoring 32.1 points per game, Curry has fired up teammates Klay Thompson, Harrison Barnes and Draymond Green to believe that they can defend their title.
The Warriors are scoring 114.3 points per game, comfortably ahead of Oklahoma City Thunder, 109.8, and Cleveland Cavaliers, 104.9.
Golden State boast the best offensive rating in the NBA so far, producing 114.4 points per 100 possessions and at a blistering pace.
Given their current form, only a handful of teams can stop the Warriors. The best of the them are San Antonio Spurs, followed by Cleveland Cavaliers, Indiana Pacers, Miami Heat, and Oklahoma City Thunder.
The Warriors will play the Pacers on December 8, game 23; Cleveland on December 25, game 29; Miami on January 11, game 38; and the Spurs on January 25, game 45.
As the best player now in the NBA, Curry leads Russell Westbrook and Kevin Durant both of Oklahoma City, James Harden of Houston Rockets, and DeMarcus Cousins of Sacramento Kings.
Were this list to include the top 10, king LeBron James would be at number seven, after Indiana's Paul George, with Portland's Damian Lillard at eight, Los Angeles Clippers’ Blake Griffin at nine, and New Orleans Pelicans' Anthony Davis at 10.
Best Five in NBA
1 Stephen Curry, Golden State
2 Russell Westbrook, Oklahoma City
3 Kevin Durant, Oklahoma City
4 James Harden, Houston
5 DeMarcus Cousins, Sacramento
