19. Luis Suárez
Despite playing for only three and half seasons and banned for a chunk of that time, Luis Suárez has earned a place as one of the greatest players in the English Premier League.
In his last season, 2013-14, the Uruguayan netted 31 goals and had 12 assists in 33 league games, one of the best in Premier League history for which he was aptly named Premier League Player of the Season.
Man of the match in 14 of those games, Suárez took 181 shots in that last season, made 237 dribbles, 1,265 passes and won 23 of 76 aerials.
In all, Suárez scored 82 goals in 133 games for Liverpool which came agonizingly close to winning the Premier League, before making a big-money move to Barcelona.
Now in his second season with the Spanish giants, Suárez became only the second Liverpool player (after Michael Owen) to take the trophy as player of the season.
Owen won his title in 1997-98.
Despite playing only four seasons for Liverpool, he is the fourth best scorer ever for the club, after Robbie Fowler, 128 goals, Steven Gerrard, 120 goals, and Michael Owen, 118 goals.
One of only 16 Uruguayans to have competed in the Premier League era which started in 1992, he is the first and only from his country to have won player of the season.
Five Uruguayans are currently playing in England, five in the Premier League and four in the Championship.
