No West Indian in ICC teams of the year

No West Indian has been named to the ICC Test and ODI teams for 2015, according to a release from the International Cricket Council (ICC) on Wednesday, December 2.

England's Alastair Cook fills the role as captain of the Test team while South African AB de Villiers skippers the One Day International (ODI) team.
The qualification period ran from September 18, 2014 to September 13, 2015.
The selection panel included former West Indies fast bowler Ian Bishop, ex England batsman Mark Butcher, former Australia women's captain Belinda Clark and deputy editor of The Hindu & Sportstar G Viswanath.
Cook has made the Test team for the fourth time and second as captain.
Stuart Broad and Joe Root are the other Englishmen in the Test team.
Steven Smith is one of three Australians, joining opener David Smith and pace bowler Josh Hazlewood.
Three Pakistanis and two Kiwis make up the starting team with India's Ravichandran Ashwin as 12th man.

AB de Villiers

In the ODI, de Villiers has been selected in the team of the year for the fourth time in five years and the first time as captain.
He's one of three Proteas, leading Hashim Amla and Imran Tahir.
Sri Lanka Kumar Sangakkara, who has retired from international cricket, is the wicketkeeper and earns his fourth nomination (2011, 2012, 2013).
He is named alongside teammate Tillakaratne Dilshan.
Steven Smith earns his inaugural nomination, after leading to Australia to their fifth ICC World Cup.
Trent Boult gains his debut nomination in the ODI Team of the Year, which also includes his New Zealand teammate Ross Taylor.
Bangladesh 20-year-old pace bowler Mustafizur Rahman has become the first from his country to make the ODI team of the year. He was named in the 2009 test team of the year.
Rahman joins India's Mohammed Shami, who also made last year's team.
