1 They have the best points per game differential.
The Cam Newton-led team has a ppg differential of 12.0, ahead of Arizona Cardinals, 11.0, and New England Patriots, 9.4. The Broncos are in 10th place with 3.7 ppg.
Since 1990, most of the Super Bowl winning teams have been in the top five. Seattle Seahawks, 9.1 and Cincinnati Bengals, 8.8 are the other teams in the top five

2 Panthers are also number one in the differential of creating explosive plays and preventing turnovers, with the Broncos way down in 11th place.

3 For the percentage of drives ending in offensive scores, the Panthers are second in the NFL to the New England Patriots, 43.2. They are on 42.9 per cent with the Broncos at 31.2 per cent.

4 As the number one offensive team scoring 31.3 points per game and 59 touchdowns, Carolina are on course for their first Super Bowl crown.

5 The Panthers will not find their task going up against the top defensive team that is the Denver Broncos easy and they will have to improve on their 5.5 yards per play, compared to the Broncos 5.4 yards per play.

6 Above all, Carolina are the most efficient team with a scoring efficiency ratio of 1.62, which takes into account passing, running and offense -- outperforming Arizona Cardinals, Seattle Seahawks, Cincinnati Bengals, and New England Patriots.
The Broncos are in 10th place.

7 Finally, however, quarterback Cam Newton, linebackers Thomas Davis and Luke Kuechy, and cornerback Josh Norman have proven key for the Panthers. They will prove too much for Denver's linebacker Von Miller, and cornerbacks Chris Harris and Aqib Talib.
